Congress participants are cordially invited to submit abstracts of their scientific works for presentation as a POSTER or ORAL COMMUNICATION at the following events:

Please prepare your abstract according to the instructions given below.
Authors will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their abstracts after 30 April 2010. It is necessary that at least one of the Authors presenting an abstract must register for the Congress which the abstract has been submitted to paying the appropriate registration fee.

Once you are at the appropriate abstract submission page, simply follow the instructions. The online submission process will guide you step by step.
Language: abstracts must be written in proper English or in Italian
Insertion process: Abstracts must be filled in directly on-line. Inside the submission system you will find specific boxes where to enter all data (authors, title, text).
Structure of the abstract:
Each abstract must include:
Introduction: brief introduction stating the purpose of the work
Methods: Provide a brief description or the methods used and the main theoretical reference
Possible case study description
Conclusions

Please check carefully the entered data. Be sure to fill the correct e-mail since all the information about your scientific work will be sent to the address indicated.
The content of the abstract must pertain the following topics:

VIII National Congress “118 E.M.S. in an evolving society” (June, 10-12 2010).

Enter the full title of you abstract exactly as it appears in you abstract.
All the authors, including the first Author/Presenter, must be entered in the appropriate box as follows:
Ex. Smith C., London, United Kingdom, smith.c@example.com;
The text of your abstract must be entered into the appropriate box.
- You can copy and paste the text of your abstract by using the feature “ctrl+C”(copy) and “ctrl+V”(paste). Do not use the right button of the mouse to copy and paste your data since the word count might result incorrect.
- Use standard abbreviations only. When non-standard abbreviations are used spell out the full word at first mentioning and insert the abbreviation in parenthesis. Then you can use the abbreviation consistently.[ex. Non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)]
Your abstract can be no longer than 3000 characters maximum, space included (authors and titles excluded).
Verify the entered data. If it is necessary to modify or correct your data, click on the “Edit” field corresponding to the data to be changed. Modify your data and click on “Change” to confirm.
After completing the process you will receive a PIN code which will allow you to verify on-line the status of your abstract (accepted or rejected). An e-mail including all the data and the PIN code will be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address indicated on the form.

You can submit an abstract to both events: in this case you need to follow the instructions of both systems and furthermore at least one of the authors must be registered to both events.
All the authors of the accepted abstracts must display their works in the form of POSTER in the congress venue or present the work as an ORAL COMMUNICATION.
POSTERS can be displayed both in English or in Italian.

Please remember that if your abstract has been accepted al least one of the authors must be registered to the congress which the abstract has been submitted to.
